It's Monday, which means reveal day at Nuts About Sketches. Last week we had a hail storm, one of the biggest ones we've ever had. The hail was in the ping-pong ball size, did major damage to our vehicles and the surrounding trees, but fortunately none to our roof, which is new.
The yellow shoe in the top right picture is my size 8 "mud chores" clog, which I put on the porch for visual reference of these little ice balls. The event lasted close to ten minutes - and by the time it was over, our yard was covered with them.
I always worry about the horses being out when weather happens, but since it was dark, I just had to trust that they'd had enough sense to get under the shelter. Next morning they both greeted me none the worse for wear, so I guess they both have sense after all.
