They took 10 people at a time and put us into the outer room of the small tomb. Then one at a time we went into the inner room where there was the ledge where Christ's body would have been. We each had a few minutes of privacy in this room and were allowed to lean over and touch where His body would have been. I can't even start to describe how emotional this was! The tears were still flowing and I couldn't hold back as I leaned over and rested my cheek on the slab.

There was also a Priest in the room sitting quietly in the corner so as not to disturb anyone in their private moment in the tomb. As I was getting up and wiping my tears he came up to me and gave me a lit candle and helped me out of the room. My legs were shaky it had been so emotional for me.

Bill and Harrison had waited outside the entrance to the tomb to escort me away safely, they did not go inside with me. Since Bill has been the picture-taker the entire time we have been in Israel, we don't have any pictures taken inside the tomb. This photo is a scan of a postcard we bought showing the inside of the tomb.

I did not just see these Holy sites – the tomb of Jesus and the place of the crucifixion. I experienced them, I felt them.

I don't know if the Garden Tomb is the right location or the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is where it happened, all I know is both forced me to focus on what really happened and what it means to me. That is all that matters.
