We asked where to find a good seafood restaurant and our taxi driver/guide took us to his favorite which was a 10 minute walk back to the port. John and Joanne had the paella and I just had a Coke while I sat with them. It was a gorgeous day and this was an outdoor café right off the square on a quaint little walking street filled with restaurants and shops. Perfect place to people watch.
Bill left us and checked out the flea market by the square and then joined us. We didn't eat lunch but we made up for it on the way back to the ship. We stopped in a bakery directly across from where John and Joanne had lunch and Bill bought me a loaf of plum bread to eat back on the ship. Then we stumbled across a place called Smooy – WOW! The best soft-serve vanilla ice cream I've ever had (choice of ice cream or soft frozen yoghurt). I had mine drenched in thick white chocolate topping. I've never had white chocolate topping before and now it is my favorite. When the white chocolate cooled on the sides of the bowl it left big bites like a white chocolate candy bar. This wonderful white chocolate sundae really was good to the last bite! Never have I scraped an ice cream bowl so clean!
We continued walking to the ship and passed some little shrub/trees made out of various flowers and had pictures taken again. They were beautiful and so colorful!
Back on the ship we won first place in afternoon trivia with John, Joanne, Jack and Sandy.
