The story: Some years ago, my cousin and his best buddy took a dream fishing vacation in Alaska for 2 weeks. The lake destination was only accessible by float plane. My cousin asked to borrow my 35mm film camera for the trip. Upon their return, I got my camera back, but when I went to use it, I found the range and view finder wasn't working. The explanation? While they were offshore fishing, a bear rummaged through their gear. Uh huh. Anyway, he did confess later that he's simply dropped the camera. I love him, of course I forgave him. He is now going through a difficult time, so for his birthday next month, I thought a little story book card might bring a smile and some good memories.
