2nd half of journaling:

In the end, it all worked out. The doctor was able to transfer 2 embryos and 5 more were frozen. Serena and I tried to keep calm, but were anxious to find out if I was pregnant. Waiting the 10 days seemed to take forever.
We actually found out several days early, on November 5th, that I am pregnant. I ended up in the emergency room because I had filled up with so much fluid. The ER ran a pregnancy test, and even though the line was very faint, it was there, confirming my pregnancy. The next day I had 3 liters of fluid removed from my abdomen, but we were so excited to hear the news!

I am now in week 13 of the pregnancy (January 10, 2007). We have a due date of July 16th! I can’t begin to describe how happy Serena and I are. It feels like we’ve been on this family journey forever. We have the normal worries about it the baby will be healthy and if we will be good enough parents, but that doesn’t stop the excitement!
This is such a blessing! It’s been a tough road, but we are continuing to move ahead, getting through it all, and we will have a beautiful baby this summer.
