I agree, this gorgeous card does not require extra adornments, it looks classy and contemporary. Using the gold adds a subtle sheen and elegance. The bee is simply wonderful, I love bee paper, stamps, dies, well, everything bee really, and this little dude is lovely! Just brewed a coffee, so I will go and check out your YouTube links, TFS!!
I'm trying to catch up on birthday cards before the birthdays sneak up and overtake me!
I've done Sam Calcott's Arrow Fold before (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FMdpWzEeRc, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4qrmYBlM3g), but I found a new version of it by Jan Mansor Brown (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHeF_OrRGfE) that I wanted to give a try. It's the same fold, just the layering is a little bit different and a little bit easier. I also liked using a card base in a color that matched the pattern paper (easy black in this case) so the arrow "flaps" don't stand out so much.
Most of the supplies I used are Stampin' Up!. I have quite a few older papers and stamps and die sets that I want to use and I think this card came out well for a masculine card. No added bling, the gold does a good job on its own.
