A few years ago, Laura and I were at a craft show and came across this lady selling cloth trees, saying she had started making them because her daughter was allergic to real trees. I was immediately taken with them, but didnt think Dan would approve. I debated back and forth, and when the lady gave me a discount, I finally took one home with me. Dan was noncommittal and considered it decor and not a real tree. Its been a few years now, and this has become our official Christmas tree. The themes vary from year to year, and this year I wanted a vintage/Victorian vibe. I made most of the ornaments myself- excluding four I had bought years before- waiting for this theme. It was a great stash buster- and considering Im still recovering from knee surgery- which greatly affected the time I could spend crafting, I am happy with the result. The last picture is of a piece I did to hang on our door to welcome family in.
