I am SO sorry I missed this. OMG, how did I too? The photos on this are STUNNING, perfection. And rather than overdoing the layout, every piece in it takes my eye right back to them. I am with Brenda about the journaling but I think minimal would do it and agree with where she suggested (if it's a framed piece, the date & baby's name would make it a true keepsake).
This is absolutely precious... You sure now how to go beyond expectations! The only thing I'm not so sure of is the ribbons on the bottom photo... I think I'd rather have seen them in the corners like the first photo...
So classy, and the pics are so dramatic and precious. I don't believe every lo needs to have journaling, but I can't ignore that my initial reaction asked for some kind of text. I can see avellum journaling block with just the baby's name, age, and other stats in black ink, placed where the bottom 2 flowers are. The middle flower moved up a little and to the left, the bottom flower moved down a little and to the right so that they form opposite "photo corners" for the journaling. I'd separate the white and pink flowers from the tiny black one and the button, and place them underneath the vellum's two corners, and put the black and the button over the vellum and then anchor the whole thing down, to create dimension. Not sure this makes sense, but I'm also lovin' your lo as is.
Moi, this is stunning. The pictures are touching and your LO absolutely adds to them! Such a creative way to attach everything to the page. I can just imagine it framed! It will make a cherished gift! Great job!
Moi this is soooo beautoful .. the photograph, the photo placement, the flowers and the buttons. Framing everything with the photo corners is so cools.
:)
This weeks challenge is to create a layout using no glue... No glue sticks, glue dots, glue runners, glue pens, etc... You must find other ways to hold your layout together! Staple, tape, whatever your heart desires. NOTE: LO was photographed on an easel.
I used 4 clear photo mounting corners beneath the custom corners for the page. ALL other embellishments and matted photos were attached by ribbon threaded through all layers then tied into bows or knotted on the back. Chipboard "K" has double ties to prevent twisting. Large photo corners and knotted ribbons were secured on the back with acid free photo/document mending tape.
