I created this layout using lots of items in my stash. I could not believe how good the pictures looked on this old Basic Grey paper! I painted the metal strip and letters to add color. I broke up the long journaling block by cutting it up into strips.
"Chris and I headed east to the desert with our mountain bikes. We challenged ourselves with the 26-mile endurance ride through McCain Valley. The trail is just a dirt road that crosses the rolling hills. The only signs of civilization were windmills, campgrounds and motorcycles. The exercise felt really good after sitting in front of computer all week. Unfortunately, Chris strained his knee on the long ride because his clipless pedals were not adjusted correctly. We stopped to admire the awesome views from the lookout point on our way back. We worked up quite an appetite and stopped in Alpine on the way home to refuel with western bacon cheeseburgers at Carl’s Jr."
