Sisterly Love

I found these pictures in my mom's collection of slides last year and had them scanned and printed. These are the first childhood pictures I have scrapbooked - so much fun!

"These three innocent faces touch my heart and make me smile. I have not seen these pictures in years. I had forgotten how easy and simple my relationship with my brothers was when we were kids. Sure, we teased each other and fought over toys but we were friends and playmates. We lost that joy when we became teenagers and could barely tolerate spending time together. We did not start building our friendship as adults until I moved to Houston. We got to know each other again through emails and phone calls. Now we share a friendship that is strong enough to last a lifetime. I did not realize how much I take my brothers for granted until last month when my coworker's brother died of cancer. I simply could not imagine my life without Keith and Dave. Their love and support has been so important to me in the past six years. I am glad I can hug my brothers close again like I did as a little girl."
