You have a great playroom and the stuff you have in there is amazing!! You must have some very exciting discoveries in there...lol It must also be lovely to look out and see your horses from there :o)Ro
(( wow pat, looks like my room sometimes, but where do you put your legs when you sit?? )) Tina : Actually, that door desk has a pretty good overhang lip which isn't obvious in the photo. I've got a good 18-24 inch knee clearance there.
I am so glad toknow that I am not the only one whose desk looks like that after some play time. I have taken the pictures of the before, but have yet to get it cleaned up enough for the after. I have found that TV trays make excellent work space for a layout. So if the desk it too cluttered, put the work in progress on the TV tray and work on it there.
Oh my gosh Pat, I'm moving into your scrap room-it is fabulous! Your use of space is just amazing, I just want to go and poke through everything to see all your wonderful goodies!
Ohhh, I'd love to be able utilize the closet in my scrap room! Right now it's full of quilts and Christmas decorations that can't be stored in the shed or attic!
I definitely need to copy the shelf idea, as I store stuff in plastic bins and a wooden dresser in my bedroom. Boxes of product get left on the floor, and it IS becoming cluttered and I hate that! I think I'll ask Jim to put some shelving up as a Christmas gift. .
I need one of those shoe organizer things for my punches! I hadn't thought of using them for rubber stamps so know I have to consider which item needs this more!
Thanks, everybody! I have to admit, it was getting a little outa-control, even for me. I'm a really REALLY messy scrapper, and when I clean up, I tend to clean up only the immediate vicinity and throw the "bits" into a little bucket next to my desk. I cleaned that bucket out last night! And I even took out the trash!
I worked an estate sale the last week of September, and part of the money I made went toward purchasing some of the shelving that this lady had in her scrap room.
I guess I've been living in a cave or something. I mean, how is it possible that I have lived 60 years and didn't know about ELFA shelving? But I have some NOW. And I have almost enough to put everything that goes into a drawer into them.
So, I'm going to probably work toward the goal of getting at least one more set so that the rest of this stuff has a place to really live instead of just perching on top of the desk and the counter tops.
AND - after saying it for a couple of years now, I finally have a place to put my Silhouette. It has a permanent home on the shelf on the far right...
Oh, and one more thing. The paper project on my desk is my Ugly Games project from September, which is still marinating. I think I might be about ready to cook it by this weekend though.
Does this project or one of it's images contain pornography, profanity, or other illegal or offensive material? If so, please report it and our moderators will come by and clean it up in a flash.
