Man’s Best Friend
Everyone has heard the saying “a dog is a man’s best friend”, right? Well until you have a dog as good as our Sweets I don’t think it really hits home how great a friend they can really be. She spends every day with me while David is at work, keeping me company in whatever I do so that I don’t feel so lonely. She shows her playfulness whenever we take her outside by romping back and forth across our yard, chasing birds, leaves and anything else that catches her eye. She never excludes us though; she always runs back to us so that we’ll be involved no matter what she’s doing. We even take her in the car wherever we can…she loves riding with us! She will sit in the back seat and just look out the window like a person would….and that is the real reason why she is truly such a good friend. We stopped thinking of her as a dog a long time ago. She is an integral part of this family and her friendship makes our little family unit run that much smoother.
