I love how you have showcased the lovely photo. The colors in the pp, the butterflies, the beautiful framing and pretty flowers all evoke a sense of serenity and peace. I loved reading your 10 guiding principles. I think we can all take to heart and try to live our lives by those very principles. TFS.
This is gorgeous; it caught my eye immediately and, as always, I love your descriptions. Beautiful photo and great use of papers. Is the flower paper G45?
Being centered is so important and so hard to master! Beautiful picture - I can imagine sitting there, the birds chirping, waves softly flowing and the sun peeking through the clouds. Your pp is lovely and the flowers looked like they were plucked right from it.
Oh my...I want to be there. It looks so peaceful and serene. The floral paper you used on this is stunning. The flourish is amazing. Another beautiful masterpiece.
Pat, I am not even a swimmer, but I absolutely love the ocean/lake/river/moving water. I love to sit and just hear the sound of it. I just feel so at peace. My son lives on the coast, and as soon as we are driving towards his house and get a glimpse of the ocean, I feel as all my worries have ben lifted off my shoulders.

It does look so peaceful there. I hope you will be able to visit your old home again in the lifetime. I love how certain things can trigger our memories of childhood ...smells, places, sounds. Mine is the smell of chlorine and seeing any type of body of water...I grew up with a swimming pool and swam almost every day, as long as my mom and the weather allowed me to...it is so relaxing for me to be near water and being able to smell chlorine brings me to my happy place straightaway. I love these bold dark colors on the page to match the colors on the photo. So serene and beautiful. You totally captured the amazing beauty of your old home. fave
Oh dear Pat it really is funny how similar we are. Water our peace as well. This is an amazing layout. I love that paper range and you have used it brilliantly. I love the hidden journaling need to try that. That chipboard frame is awesome and your treatment of it is crazy good. Love your flower clusters. Let's face it I love it all.
Our topic for this week's AGC challenge was to write down our Life's Vision and Purpose or to list our Guiding Principles.
Here's my list ...
My Guiding Principles
1. Before you speak - THINK. Is it - True? Helpful? Important? Necessary? Kind?
2. Being happy is a choice you make.
3. Let go of the things outside your control. The universe is in good hands. Be at peace with yourself, those around you, and with God.
4. Every day do something that feeds your soul, something that builds your body, and something that opens your mind.
5. Be quick to forgive, both yourself and others, and always be the first one to make peace.
6. Wherever you go, whatever you're doing, you're an example. Be a good one. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
7. Time is more valuable than money. Do not regret what you trade for this day.
8. Busy and productive are not the same thing. Everyone gets the same 24 hours. It's what you do with them that matters. Set goals. Work toward them a little bit every day.
9. Be responsible for your own choices, your own decisions, and your own consequences. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
10. Done is better than perfect, as long as you do the best you can in the situation.
