Another of my 50 Cards in 50 Days Challenge.

Our LSS Christmas Cards for Troops Project finished over the weekend with a day long crop. We completed over 200 cards and got them boxed and mailed. It was a wonderful feeling, seeing all those boxes with all those cards, knowing that some overseas soldier will be writing messages home and sending them in one of my little cards.

So now I need to create only one card from each sketch, and even though I don't have to worry about flat embellishments or glitter accents anymore, I'm going to really try to keep them simple and see if I can't still create something pretty.

This one used a shimmer paper, which I dry embossed in a snowflake folder. I wish the color photographed better, because the base paper is a soft country blue that shines and shimmers and is just beautiful. I got the little holly piece at Hobby Lobby. I cut the wreath from chipboard, stamped and inked the Santa with my Distress Inks (I used Apricot Appeal from Stampin Up for his face). The "ribbon" strip is a piece of cover packaging from a Christmas paper kit that I just cut off the front of the front cover page.

Thanks for taking a peek at my work. I'm going to TRY to get caught up on these cards this week. I've fallen way behind - something like six days, I think.
