I think all I've done this week is haul horses.

I picked up Java from the vet, I picked up Chantez from Pawnee, and this evening after work, I drove to Tulsa to pick up Frosty.

Frosty is one of my Tulsa YMCA camp horses. He's been living with a foster family for the off season, but for some reason he got into his head that he needed to maul the goats and ended up killing a set of newborn triplets. Whether it was intentional or not, or even whether it was him or not (there were no eyewitnesses), his foster family, understandably, needed him to go.

It's part of my job with the Y to place the horses in foster situations for the off season, so it fell on me to make that happen. Fortunately, his family was willing to meet me halfway - hence the trip to Tulsa instead of all the way to Bartlesville.

But it still meant driving home in the dark. Tom isn't crazy about horses, but he loves ME, and he was agreeable about going with me so I didn't have to make the trip alone. He's such a great guy!
