Best Buddies
They look SO ferocious, but the little terrier across the street is Cowboy's very best friend in the whole world. We don't know what his name really is, but we call him Benji. He knows my truck, and the minute I get home from work, he's across the street, saying hello, and asking if Cowboy can come out and play. And the answer is, of course, always yes. They tear around the yard, chasing each other, growling and jumping and bumping and having the best time together. They'll go on like this for hours.
Benji started thinking he might like to chase the chickens and the horses, but it did not take long for me to explain to him that if he chose to do those sorts of things, he would not be welcome at our house. He learned fast, and now he's sort of like a member of our extended family.
